    That does look like Key–on those days when he’s not A) feeling so fresh and B) having Maybelline issues.

    I’m not a fan of Industrial either. Years ago, I would take Ex and forced to go to parties (I think the kids called them “raves”) in which this shit was played and the beat (while hypnotic to a degree) eventually always morphed into something disturbing.

    I was never a fan of Ska kind of for the same reason.

    The only thing that’s more developmentally-disabled than industrial dancing is “hardcore dancing”. Save the sweeps and kicks for the dojo, Jackie Chan!

    Industrial dancing isn’t that at all. It’s a gran mal siezure with rhythym.

    I don’t mind the music so much either, but listening to it gacked out on Ex in some warehouse in a part of town that would be lethal on a Monday and everyone there was sucking on a big lime flavored life saver pacifier and waving glow sticks around,kinda ruined the illusion.

    Listening to it over a period of time made my body do weird things. I’d start ovulating to the beat.

    @ Laurie: I had some friends in college who did the “rave” thing, but they were into the “trance” aspect of them. They’d dose “Special K” and sit on the floor with their eyes glazing.

    @ Keywork: Oh, was that you with the “Sieg-heil” combover and runny mascara at the AFI show last week? No? Anyway, the whole idea of choreography at a metal/punk/screamo/hardcore show is kinda missing the point, innit?

    I was told I always had fun at those rave things.

    Then I got old, starting eating dinner at 4pm…Watched “Wheel” every night and starting voting Republican.
